Chanakya-Acl, ( Chanakya Academy of Computer Learning) named after the
great Indian scholar and world renowned Guru of Diplomacy. The institute
was established in 1996 by Rajpal Singh Chauhan. Chanakya-Acl introduced
computer education at Mainpuri district before its opening peoples of
this district were not aware of computer. In beginning the computer
education was offered at Rs. 100 per month and we noticed not more then
15 students up to a lot of years. This institute was started with a
single computer which was managed on by me from my sir, Mr. Sanjeev
Kumar Singh (Who taught me at Delhi). In 1995 after completing my course
from Computer Education Center (CEC) a south Delhi based institute where
Mr. Singh was a faculty , I requested him that I wish to start my
institute at my native district. Initially he explained a lot of
problems of small cities and towns but later when I expressed my deep
concern with my birth place and my willingness to work at my own
district he agreed by my proposal. Those were the days when I was
struggling for my career and I hardly earn money to meet my own
expanses.
I can never forget my cousin Mr. Sishupal Singh Chauhan (Babloo) and my
Bhabi for the support they extended to me during the days. My cousin
always insisted me no to go for any part-time job just pay your full
attention to your study but I was quite aware about his financial
position but still he always encouraged me to study only.
In the month of Nov. 1995, I came to Shikohabad ( Now a part of District
Ferozabad) where one of my friend Munendera Singh Chauhan was studying.
He suggested me while I was planning to open institute that Shikohabad
will be the best place as a lot of degree and Inter colleges are there
so it is expected that the no. of students may be better instead of
Mainpuri. His presence in that area as a tutor was also one of the
important factor to start at Shikohabad. Finally we planned to start
institute and hired a building in Shankarpuri at Shikohabad. We started
the institute but very soon we begin to face problems from the local
people who were already running their institute. Niknet Computer
Sansthan was one of the institute working over there. In the mean time
Mr. Shehdev Singh Chauhan, Mr. Pradeep Chauhan and some other like
minded friends came in contact whom I can never forget. I recalls how
all these helped he in those days of struggle. After having discussion
with our friends I finally decided to come to Mainpuri.
In the month of January ,1996 , I came to Mainpuri having a computer which
was given by my sir on the assurance by my side that I will pay the
money soon after starting the institute as I was expecting that the area
where still peoples are unaware about computer may run to grab it. But
all the situation was unexpected when I came to Mainpuri from Shikohabad
by a passenger train I was having only a computer two tables to sitting
banches and a stool and an amount of Rs. 92.
In the month of Feb.96 I got a small place (approx. 200 Sq.feet.)
in front of Punjabi Colony, owned by one of the eminent figure Mr. Om
Prakash Chandana. I started formally Chanakya-Acl, at Mainpuri on
11Th.Feb.,1996.
