Swami Vivekanad College of Advance Studies (SVCAS) is
an authorised study center of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open
University (UPRTOU), Allahabad. SVCAS is the only college which is
offering degree and diploma courses of UPRTOU. We wish inform public at
large that some institutes and persons are engaged intentionally to
disseminate some unauthentic information in the society such as we are
not an authorised study center of UPRTOU, in this regard we wish to
inform all that our credential and association may be checked from the
UPRTOU's official website and apart from SVCAS we have uploaded
certificates of recognition/affiliation of all the concerned institutes.

It has come in notice that some institutes which have
association/affiliation from some out of state universities say's
that they provides regular degree courses while we at SCVAS
have association with Open University and in open universities distance
education mode is allowed only. In this regard we wish to inform all
concerned not
to mislead by such malicious information because such persons/institutions themselves
don't know that any university out of state can work only
in distance mode. Regular operation is not allowed next important thing
as per the judgment in case of Kurmanchal institute and Rohilkhand
university Supreme court had said that no one state university is
not entitled to work out side of it's jurisdiction area i.e, the
state in which it have been established.
Keeping it in mind while having association of RAJASTHAN VIDYAPEETH DEEMED UNIVERSITY & MAKHAN LAL RASHTRIYA PATRAKARITA
VISHVIDYALAYA , BHOPAL we did not registered even a single student since
2005. We got association of UPRTOU then only in the previous July 2008
session we started getting admission. Here it is necessary to make it
clear in almost all the states there is one state open university e.g.
MP Bhoj open university, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka State open university,
Karnataka, Kota open
university Rajashthan etc. these universities we specially established to start
distance education.
